THE JOB The Gorge Amphitheatre is looking for fun, energetic, and music-loving people to fill this season's job openings. This is a seasonal, hourly position. The job begins in March with training, and the concert season will conclude in October. Ancillary Crew Members play a key role in enhancing the guest experience by supporting all ancillary sales and operations at the venue. This includes assisting with products and services such as lawn chair rentals, Fast Lane, VIP Clubs, parking upgrades, and other guest amenities. Crew members ensure guests have a smooth, friendly, and efficient experience from the moment they arrive until the end of the event. This position takes place in an outdoor live entertainment setting, with exposure to varying weather conditions. Ancillary Crew Members are expected to maintain a friendly and professional demeanor while working in a dynamic, guest-facing environment.

Requirements

  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Comfortable handling cash, credit, or mobile payment transactions
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and remain professional under pressure
  • Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to lift to 25+ lbs. and stand for extended periods
  • Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
  • Comfortable engaging with large crowds and promoting sales
  • Dependable and self-motivated with strong attention to detail
  • Passionate about delivering exceptional guest experiences

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in customer service, hospitality, or live event operations preferred (but not required)

Responsibilities

  • Greet guests in a friendly and professional manner while promoting venue amenities and upgrades
  • Coordinate the setup, operation, and breakdown of ancillary areas (lawn chair rentals, signage)
  • Handle sales transactions accurately using point-of-sale systems or handheld devices
  • Lead and support staff effectively avoiding miscommunication while making sure needs are being met (breaks are being taken timely, water/snacks dispensed)
  • Maintain accurate inventory counts of ancillary products before, during, and after events
  • Keep work areas organized, clean, and stocked throughout the event
  • Communicate effectively with the Ancillary Manager, Supervisors, and other departments as needed
  • Provide excellent customer service by answering guest questions and resolving minor issues promptly
  • Support signage setup and visibility to ensure clear guest communication
  • Assist with end-of-shift reconciliations, equipment returns, and reporting as directed
  • Follow all venue, company, and safety policies and procedures
