This job assists anesthesia providers in the delivery of quality patient care by ensuring the availability of necessary supplies and equipment required for the safe administration of anesthesia. Assists with the supervision and management of the Anesthesia Associates, and complies with the guidelines of the American Society of Anesthesia Technologists and Technicians (ASATT). Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent
3 years anesthesia or operating room experience with documentation of job related training including one year of supervisory or leadership experience
Must have computer skills and dexterity required for data entry and retrieval of information.
Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present information clearly and professionally.
Must be proficient with Windows-style applications, various software packages specific to role and keyboard.
Strong interpersonal skills necessary to deal effectively and courteously with staff and provide instruction and guidance.
Self-directed and skills to work with little supervision.
Skills to exercise good judgment in handling difficult situations.
Skills to exercise good organizational time management skills.
General knowledge and skill to modify and adapt the anesthesia associates work schedule to needs of the operating room.
Skills to assist in the fair and objective evaluation of the anesthesia associates.
Skills to function calmly in a pressure situation.
Must be able to work a flexible work schedule (e.g. 24/7, weekend, on call availability).
Must be able to travel throughout and between facilities.

Nice To Haves

Some college coursework in Anatomy and Physiology, Basic Science or Medical Education
Medical related work experience, basic analytical skills
Successful completion of the ASATT Anesthesia Technician certification exam
Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association

Performs other related duties as required.
Remains knowledgeable on current federal, state and local laws, accreditation standards or regulatory agency requirements that apply to the assigned area of responsibility and ensures compliance with all such laws, regulations and standards.
