About The Position

The Angular Developer (Applications Development Senior Programmer Analyst – C12) is an intermediate-level position, primarily responsible for participating in the establishment and implementation of new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to contribute to applications systems analysis and programming activities, ensuring the successful delivery of technology solutions. Citi is actively seeking a highly motivated Angular Developer to join its Wholesale Credit Risk Technology team, which supports Institutional Credit Management (ICM). This role requires a talented professional with solid technical acumen to partner with both onshore and offshore teams, designing and delivering innovative technology solutions for the front office and Credit Risk Business. The successful candidate will be a core member of the technology team, responsible for implementing projects utilizing Angular, Micro Frontend architecture, TypeScript, and other cutting-edge technologies, offering an excellent opportunity to gain deep exposure to business and technology initiatives within the Wholesale Credit Risk Division.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in building UI/UX Components using Angular and TypeScript.
  • Hands-on development experience working on Micro Frontends using Angular and integration with RESTful API.
  • Experience working with CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes, and other containerized platforms.
  • Ability to research and resolve complex issues, escalating as appropriate.
  • Ability to effectively interact and collaborate with development teams.
  • Ability to effectively communicate development progress to the Project Lead.
  • Strong collaboration skills to work effectively within a diverse team environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in tasks related to feasibility studies, time and cost estimates, IT planning, risk technology, applications development, and model development.
  • Contribute to the establishment and implementation of new or revised application systems and programs to meet specific business needs or user areas.
  • Monitor and contribute to all phases of the development process, including analysis, design, construction, testing, and implementation.
  • Provide user and operational support on applications to business users.
  • Utilize in-depth specialty knowledge of applications development to analyze complex problems/issues, provide evaluation of business processes, system processes, and industry standards, and make evaluative judgments.
  • Recommend and contribute to the development of security measures during post-implementation analysis of business usage to ensure successful system design and functionality.
  • Consult with users/clients and other technology groups on issues, recommend advanced programming solutions, and assist with customer exposure systems.
  • Ensure essential procedures are followed and contribute to defining operating standards and processes.
  • Serve as an advisor or coach to new or lower-level analysts.
  • Operate with a limited level of direct supervision.
  • Exercise independence of judgment and autonomy in day-to-day tasks.
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to senior stakeholders and/or other team members within their technical domain.
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
