About The Position

The successful candidate for this position must possess a Bachelors Degree in Education (Special Education / Elementary Education), with valid and active Pennsylvania Teaching Certifications in Special Education (PK-8 and/or PK-12). Three to five years of teaching experience is preferred. Experience and working knowledge of collaborative instructional practices with regular education staff as well as Direct Instruction and instructional practices and curriculum integrating the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis as well as explicit and direct instruction. New Teacher Orientation is August 20-21, 24-26, 2026.

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in Education (Special Education / Elementary Education)
  • Valid and active Pennsylvania Teaching Certifications in Special Education (PK-8 and/or PK-12)
  • Criminal Record Check (less than one year old)
  • PA Child Abuse History Clearance (less than one year old)
  • FBI Finger Print Clearance (less than one year old)
  • TB Test/Mantoux (less than 3 months old)
  • Physical - if applicable (less than 1 year old)

Nice To Haves

  • Three to five years of teaching experience is preferred.

  • Working Knowledge of diagnostic implications of various disabilities impacting students access and progress in curriculum (implementation of curriculum rooted in Applied Behavior Analysis)
  • Ability to provide DI remedial instruction / effectively monitor (data collection) and adjust instruction aligned to data analysis / instruction based on best practice (i.e Explicit Instruction)
  • Working knowledge and application (i.e. completion of compliant RRs/IEPs and other related process and documents) of Ch 14 requirements
