Weekly AP World History Tutor
About The Position
A lovely family in Windermere is seeking an experienced AP World History tutor for their 16-year-old, with an immediate start and support needed through May 2026. The child is a strong, high-achieving student overall, but AP World History has presented unexpected challenges this year. The family is looking for a tutor who can help strengthen the understanding of the material, reinforce key vocabulary and historical terminology, build effective study habits, and prepare them confidently for the AP exam at the end of the term. The ideal tutor will bring a clear, engaging teaching style and be able to break down complex concepts in a relatable and accessible way. Sessions will focus on homework support, test preparation, vocabulary review, organization strategies, and long-term study skills to help them finish the year strong. Tutoring may take place in the family’s home in Windermere or at a local coffee shop or library within a 15-minute radius (candidate’s choice). If held in the home, parents may be present, and there is a friendly dog on the premises who will be put away during sessions.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of paid, professional AP World History experience
- Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
- Fluent in English
- Ability to pass a background and social media screening
- Able to provide two tutor-related references
