About The Position

In a collaborative and multidisciplinary environment, contributes professional and clinical expertise to assigned patient populations to ensure the delivery of high quality care. Scope of practice will encompass: Expert clinical practice Expert guidance and coaching of patients and families and other healthcare providers Research Leadership (clinical, professional, and systems) Serves on call and weekend rotations as required.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program as determined by the Committee on Allied Health or Education and Accreditation or a current Registered Professional Nurse and Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program/Masters in Nursing.
• Current Certification from the National Commission on the Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) or for Advanced Practice Nurses a current Certification from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or from the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP).
• Hold a valid, current New Jersey license.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of clinical practice experience in related field.
• Obtain a New Jersey CDS and federal DEA certificate upon employment if not already covered.
• Evidence of excellent interpersonal skills, effective communication skills, and creative problem solving.
• BCLS & ACLS certification.
