About The Position

This position will be responsible for leading the Apparel development team for ’47 by collaborating primarily with the Design team and with domestic & overseas suppliers to ensure that design integrity, quality, fit and target pricing are achieved, and established production timelines are met.

Requirements

Degree from 4 year university or institution
Min 5 years experience working with Apparel product groups
Ability/willingness to travel to overseas factories
Strong proficiency with Adobe Illustrator
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel

Responsibilities

Manage Development team workload and calendar
Identify and develop new supply partners for apparel styles
Collaborate with Purchasing to source production orders with alternate vendors when needed
Manage all core, seasonal, and SMU vendor pricing
Source new fabrics, washes, & embellishment techniques to aid Design in the creation of new style offerings for’47
Participate in vendor meetings and factory visits as needed
Manage all social compliance requirements for new and existing vendors.
Create and maintain key style documentation (tech packs, size specs, trim sheets, etc.) for core apparel styles
Develop and maintain all product standards for apparel styles, including standards for fit, material, colors, trims and other product elements
Direct new vendors in understanding and adhering to ’47 standards for embroidery, appliqué, and print standards for team logos across all leagues.
Lead the approval process for all sample submissions (protos, TOPs, strikeoffs) from alternate vendors
Collaborate with Photography on completed samples that need internal photos
Collaborate with Product Coordinator on all elements to facilitate production workflow for ’47
Translate all branding with vendors
Manage all threads, yarns and trims
Maintain archive of past lines for ’47
