Summary: As an Intern - Application Developer, responsibilities include learning all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), participation in project meetings, learning basic developer aspects of software project management software, and advancement of development skills through the corporate LMS offerings. In addition, the Intern – Application Developer will participate in the B&B Intern Program. Essential Duties and Functions: include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Gain knowledge of SDLC software, source control software, and development tools (e.g. IDE, SSMS, Postman, etc.) Prepare detail specifications from which programs and test cases will be written Perform basic applications systems analysis and programming activities including analysis, development and execution of unit testing Participate in Code reviews conducted by the Application Development Team. Interaction / communication/ follow through with QA throughout testing phase to facilitate iterative cycle. Adhere to a set schedule. Other duties as assigned. Required: High School Diploma/GED required Proficient with MS Office Suite Exceptional telephone demeanor Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality 1 – 3 years’ experience in a similar position Ability to use discretion, exercise good judgment and resourcefulness Completion of, or studying towards, a Bachelor of Science Degree in a computer-related field or equivalent work experience Education in a recognized programming language and programming concepts Excellent oral and written communication skills; Ability to communicate effectively with development staff Physical Requirements Necessary on a Regular Basis: Manual dexterity, arm and upper body range of motion sufficient for use of a keyboard, mouse and telephone 7-8 hours per day. Speech and hearing sufficient for in-person and telephone communication 7-8 hours per day. Vision sufficient for use of a computer monitor. Sedentary position. Ability to sit at a desk 7-8 hours per day. Workers are not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions. Lifting and/or carrying (<10 lbs.) Manipulate small and/or large bulky objects. Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED required
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite
  • Exceptional telephone demeanor
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
  • 1 – 3 years’ experience in a similar position
  • Ability to use discretion, exercise good judgment and resourcefulness
  • Completion of, or studying towards, a Bachelor of Science Degree in a computer-related field or equivalent work experience
