The Application Integration Specialist manages desktop and web-based software solutions typically sourced from third-party vendors. With a strong emphasis on security, they will ensure seamless integrations and effective automation. Will need experience with Application Programming Interfaces (APIs), Artificial Intelligence (AI), and automation and bots. They will work directly with internal department stakeholders to provide application design, analysis, implementation, configuration, administration, and troubleshooting for integration and automation. As one of the primary internal technical points of contact, they will provide support services, liaise with vendor technical support, and contribute to business intelligence and data analytics projects as needed. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate technical documentation and regularly managing application integration upgrades, including testing, scheduling, and implementation. Success Factors Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain secure application integrations that support our company's business operations Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and implement new features Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications Identify and resolve application security vulnerabilities Conduct regular security assessments and audits to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in application development, security, AI, and bots Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and ensure adherence to coding standards Provide technical support and troubleshooting for our application integrations Manage processes to upgrade and maintain assigned systems. Work with vendors to resolve issues that cannot be readily addressed using in-house resources. Draft and submit technical specifications and diagrams that document existing systems or outline the build of prospective systems. Research new applications and/or application features both independently and by management request. Formulate recommendations and implementation plans. Resolve end-user issues as escalated by the Service Desk, including working with software vendors’ technical support to resolve complex problems. Support business intelligence and data analytics projects by enabling secure, streamlined, and reliable data integrations that facilitate accurate reporting and analysis. Develop and maintain application documentation, including, but not limited to, Configuration Guides, Application Design Guides, and Knowledge Base articles; provide consultation to the training team on associated end-user documentation. Perform other duties or special projects as required.
