About The Position

Capital Metro is seeking an Application Systems Analyst II – SharePoint to serve as a key technical owner and administrator of the organization’s SharePoint Online environment and related collaboration and business applications. This role is responsible for supporting and enhancing intranet, extranet, and project collaboration sites; managing permissions and governance; supporting audits and compliance activities; and partnering closely with business stakeholders to deliver reliable, secure, and user‑friendly solutions. The position provides hands‑on operational support while contributing to platform improvements and enterprise application stability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; additional related experience may substitute for degree on a year‑for‑year basis (up to four years).
  • Four (4) years of experience administering SharePoint and supporting enterprise application systems.
  • Experience configuring and supporting commercial off‑the‑shelf (COTS) or custom cloud‑based or on‑premise applications.
  • Experience providing direct end‑user support in a customer‑focused environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with SharePoint Designer, PowerShell, .NET, or SQL Server.
  • Experience with SaaS platforms and enterprise content management systems.
  • Experience supporting audits, records management, or governance initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • SharePoint Platform Ownership & Administration
  • Serve as the primary operational owner for multiple SharePoint Online intranet, extranet, and project sites.
  • Design, provision, and maintain SharePoint project sites supporting enterprise and capital initiatives.
  • Configure and manage site permissions, including read only, delegated edit, and full control access.
  • Create and maintain document libraries, folder structures, and site organization standards.
  • Advise stakeholders on SharePoint architectural limitations (e.g., subsites) and provide compliant alternatives.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve SharePoint issues related to access, permissions, calendars, workflows, and document behavior.
  • Security, Compliance & Audits
  • Conduct periodic SharePoint user access reviews to meet audit and compliance requirements.
  • Prepare and distribute audit communications, instructions, reminders, and follow ups.
  • Review access feedback, document approvals or changes, and implement required updates.
  • Ensure SharePoint governance aligns with IT security standards and internal controls.
  • Manage cleanup activities for terminated users and inherited permissions.
  • Application & Platform Support
  • Implement, configure, and support desktop and Software as a Service (SaaS) application systems.
  • Configure applications, processes, reports, queries, interfaces, and integrations in support of business needs.
  • Ensure data integrity within systems owned by understanding data relationships and resolving interface or data issues.
  • Provide assistance with procurement documentation for systems, licenses, renewals, and vendor support to ensure compliance.
  • ServiceNow & Additional System Support
  • Act as backup ServiceNow analyst/administrator when the primary owner is unavailable.
  • Manage ServiceNow incidents, tasks, escalations, and vendor support cases; validate fixes and communicate outcomes.
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Operational Support
  • Work directly with project managers, department leaders, and executives to gather requirements and provide advisory support.
  • Provide hands on user support via calls, screen sharing, and follow up guidance.
  • Participate in after hours and on call IT support rotation, supporting operational incidents impacting business or transit operations.
