About The Position

Geiger Pump & Equipment is seeking an early to mid-career Application Engineer to support our industrial equipment distribution business from our Aston, PA facility. This role supports customers and internal sales teams by applying technical expertise across rotating equipment, valves, and fluid-handling technologies to solve real-world challenges. This position is well-suited for an engineer who is customer-oriented, enjoys growing and applying technical knowledge, and is motivated by supporting both short-term customer needs and larger, more complex projects over time.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent industry experience
3–5+ years of experience in application engineering, technical sales support, or industrial equipment environments
Familiarity with rotating equipment, valves, pumps, or fluid-handling systems
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent mechanical aptitude and ability to connect theory to real-world applications
Demonstrated interest in developing deeper technical expertise
Ability to balance urgent customer needs with longer-term project work
Self-motivated, collaborative, and comfortable working in a dynamic, team environment

Responsibilities

Act as a technical resource for industrial customers and internal sales teams
Support equipment selection, application review, and troubleshooting
Respond to time-sensitive customer requests
Contribute to longer-term project opportunities
Review customer specifications, operating data, and process requirements
Collaborate closely with outside sales engineers on technically sound, customer-focused proposals
Interface directly with customers to understand application challenges
Maintain and grow technical expertise across rotating equipment, valves, and related fluid-handling technologies
Coordinate with manufacturers and internal teams to resolve technical questions
