About The Position

We have an exciting opportunity to join the team responsible for managing our premier product line – electromechanical testing systems. As an Applications Engineer your role will include a unique blend of expert applications consulting, sales support, product marketing, and business development within a wide array of industries ranging from biomedical to food, textiles to plastics. The main responsibility of this position will be to become proficient in our extensive line of testing equipment, accessories and software, and to utilize that technical and product knowledge to support sales opportunities This position will involve close and detailed contact with our customers and field sales force to produce complex system proposals, pursue custom product requests, resolve customer issues and build customer relationships. In addition, you will be required to conduct product demonstrations, sales presentations, and be involved in training the sales, service, and support staff on the use of our products. Travel to customer sites, technical conferences, exhibitions, and seminars may represent up to 25% of work time.

Requirements

Successful candidates should possess a bachelor’s degree in engineering (preferably Mechanical Engineering or Materials Science), with some relevant commercial work experience or an interest in either sales or marketing.
Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills are also required for this challenging role.
