About The Position

The Application Systems Analyst III is a full-time position with Atlantic Health's (AH) Information Technology Division. The Application Systems Analyst will be responsible for supporting the Epic Inpatient Documentation and Stork and/or Case Management applications across the enterprise. The work is accomplished in a team environment and requires excellent problem solving and communication skills with a high level of professionalism. The individual will be expected to participate in the on-call rotation for handling incident tickets and providing support of complex clinical workflows.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Mathematics, Healthcare Informatics, Engineering, or Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • Minimum High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum 5 years work experience within IT
  • Experience with application build and configuration
  • Demonstrated comprehensive knowledge of clinical and/or business practices and principles
  • Demonstrated ability to gather information from multiple sources and analyze applicability and appropriateness, and develop an efficient workflow
  • Experience with organizational strategies, business operations, and end-user requirements to develop system design and training projects
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, leadership and change management skills to establish and maintain positive and productive working relationships
  • Epic Inpatient Clinical Documentation Certification Required
  • ITIL Foundation certification (or obtain after hire)

Nice To Haves

  • Epic Stork and/or Clinical Case Management Highly Preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead analysis of workflows, system configurations, and technical issues for supported applications.
  • Scope and manage major and minor system enhancements following ISS standards and best practices.
  • Evaluate new system functionalities and recommend prioritization and implementation strategies.
  • Troubleshoot complex user issues and provide expert-level support.
  • Assign and prioritize team tasks, supporting both daily operations and ad-hoc requests.
  • Monitor project progress, addressing delays and ensuring timely delivery.
  • Collaborate with IT, clinical, business, and operations teams to optimize workflows.
  • Recommend and drive changes in ISS processes, change management, and operational workflows.
  • Design and implement innovative solutions to enhance services or reduce costs under tight deadlines.
  • Mentor team members, manage vendor relationships, and represent IT in cross-functional meetings and demonstrations.
