The Appointment Business Center Scheduler (Access Coordinator) answers telephones and coordinates appointments in a call center environment. The Appointment Business Center Scheduler plays a crucial role in our organization by supporting patient care activities. Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED
  • Basic proficiency with computers (preferably MS Office)
  • Excellent telephone etiquette skills
  • General knowledge of office machines including printers and scanners
  • One (1) year of customer service experience (Level I)
  • Two (2) years of customer service experience (Level II)

Nice To Haves

  • Call center experience
  • Experience in registration, billing, or scheduling in a healthcare environment
  • Knowledge of basic medical terminology

Responsibilities

  • Schedules, reschedules, coordinates, and cancels appointments
  • Inputs and/or updates accurate patient information
  • Communications accurate and complete information
  • Must maintain strict confidentiality
  • Performs other duties as assigned
