About The Position

This position will provide training through both verbal and hands-on instruction in various phases of Mold making. Position provides basic skill-set training to build a foundation for future opportunities. ESSENTIAL DUTIES: For all areas relative to the manufacture of plastic injection molds, fixtures and components Tasks include but are not limited to Computer Numerical Control, Electronic Discharge and traditional machining techniques and hand operations Basic computer software for geometry examination, review, programing for manufacture Hands-on manufacture of components from steel, graphite and additional materials per requirements Learn proper use and technique of measuring equipment Measure and verify components meet specified dimensional requirements Learn discipline of unattended machining time Maintain quality standards of company Exposure to design process as applicable Maintain communication with other departments to insure smooth workflow Work toward meeting or improving delivery dates on assigned work Maintain flexibility in working within other areas of tool shop as requested Ensure all department documentation is completed Maintain machine and other company equipment in good working order Ensure all proper manufacturing procedures are followed Maintain a clean & safe work area Work scheduled hours, including Overtime initiatives, as requested Help to maintain positive attitude within the department Pickup and delivery using company vehicle to support tool room activities Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required and/or certification from associated trade school.
  • Ability to comprehend and retain training information, both verbal and hands-on
  • Ability to work towards controlling tight tolerances
  • Basic computer skills required
  • Possess a valid driver’s license without restrictions
  • Ability to read, write and verbally communicate clearly
  • Must be available for overtime as needed
  • Perform job duties in accordance to ISO 13485/9001 including ISO audits
  • Ensure that all safety procedures are followed
  • Ensure that all equipment safeties are not altered or defeated.

  • Background in machine technology preferred
