The internship will provide the applicant with an introduction into penguin and seal husbandry, exhibit maintenance, positive reinforcement training and environmental enrichment. At the end of the internship the applicant will have a basic knowledge of the above skills and techniques as well as a basic understanding of the biology of penguins and pinnipeds. Learn positive reinforcement and environmental enrichment techniques. Learn proper food preparation techniques and understand system diets. Learn common and scientific names of penguins and Pinnipeds. Work closely with aquarium biologists and interact with guests.
