We are looking for a dynamic individual to join the busy aquatics department of our Central Community Branch YMCA! Under the direction of the Branch Executive Director the Aquatics Director at the Central Community Branch YMCA intentionally fosters a cause-centered culture that is welcoming, genuine, hopeful, nurturing, and determined while also managing high-quality, member-focused aquatics programs. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Ensures programs and services meet community needs to include supervising existing program activities, establishing new program activities, and expanding the program within the community as needed. Assists in the marketing and distribution of program information. Monitors daily pool operations to adhere to all state, local and YMCA health and safety regulations and conducts and ensures proper maintenance of pools. Maintains accurate records of pool chemical levels and facility maintenance. Recruits and hires diverse staff and volunteer teams across multiple dimensions of diversity. Onboards and develops them for success. Conducts lifeguarding, swim instruction, First Aid and CPR trainings. Ensures records of staff certifications are current and complete. Models relationship-building skills in all interactions. Develops and maintains collaborative relationships with community organizations. Maintains regular, clear, and concise communication within the area of responsibility. Manages the program, including developing and monitoring the program budget to meet fiscal objectives; compiling program statistics to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of and participation in the program; securing and scheduling the pool facilities; and creating and scheduling the classes, practices and meets. Ensure clear, consistent and concise information is communicated to the Facilities Department regarding quality adherence to the Department of Public Works standards. Remain trained and available to assist the Facilities Department in the maintenance and operation of the Pools; Play an active leadership role in the branch Annual Campaign and assist leadership in the successful completion of the campaign and other related special events and activities; Participate in Association Mission Impact Teams and other committees as needed Create YUSA Aquatic Safety Plans for the CCB pool and Camp Blanchard; updated as necessary and follow all guidelines contained within Responsible for 15-20 hours per week scheduled time on direct program delivery
