About The Position

The YMCA of Orange County is a leading non-profit organization dedicated to strengthening communities through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. We are actively seeking highly engaged, intentional, and service-oriented individuals for seasonal Aquatics Cashier positions. This role is vital in supporting the daily operations of the Aquatics Department by providing exceptional member service, maintaining accurate records, and helping ensure a safe and welcoming pool environment. Location: Pomona Area (Ganesha Park Pool & Washington Park Swim Center) Work Schedule: This is a seasonal position that runs from May to August. Available shifts are within the hours listed below: Monday, Wednesday, & Friday 6:00pm - 8:00pm Tuesday - Friday 7:00am - 12:00pm; 1:00pm - 5:00pm Saturday & Sunday 1:00-5:00pm Purpose and Impact: Support a Safe Environment: Help maintain a safe and organized pool area by following and enforcing YMCA policies, safety standards, and pool rules. Report safety-related incidents promptly and accurately. Provide Member Service: Create a welcoming experience by assisting members and participants with check-ins, questions, and front desk support in a professional and friendly manner. Assist Daily Operations: Support smooth aquatics operations by opening and closing the pool area, maintaining accurate participation records, and following cash handling and check-in procedures. Demonstrate YMCA Values: Demonstrate caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility while carrying out all duties in an ethical and professional manner. Requirements

  • Minimum Age: 16 with a valid work permit.
  • Experience in customer service preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills are essential.
  • Proficiency with technology.
  • First Aid and CPR certifications required (training provided and paid for by the YMCA).
