Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Requires working nights and weekends.
One year related experience in administration, lifeguarding, swim instruction is required.
Requires ability to professionally and effectively communicate with members, staff and supervisors; maintain confidentiality and exchange accurate information.
Must demonstrate initiative, strong leadership and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

Aquatic Facility Operator or Certified Pool Operator, Lifeguard Training Instructor, Safety Training for Swim Coaches preferred.
Knowledge of rules, regulations and guidelines of USA Swimming is preferred.

Responsibilities

Assists with the development, organization and implementation of high quality and safe aquatics programs.
Increases member retention through creating personalized member experiences and positive relationships with and among members, staff, and guests.
Regularly scheduled as a swim instructor and lifeguard.
Performs responsibilities of respective position descriptions.
Trains, provides guidance to and directs Aquatics Department employees as needed.
Assists in ensuring shifts are covered adequately to meet member needs.
Covers open shifts and ensures substitutions are filled.
Assists with coordination of pool, facility, program space and equipment use.
Performs required safety, cleanliness and maintenance check
Ensures the safety of all members and guests.
