About The Position

YMCA at Green Hills is Now Hiring for Aquatics Team Leader Position Type: Part-time Pay Range starts at $14 per hour (or more depending on experience) Are you a skilled lifeguard ready to take the next step in your aquatic career? Join the YMCA of Middle Tennessee as an Aquatics Team Leader and oversee a dynamic team while ensuring a safe and welcoming pool environment for our members. What You’ll Do: Supervise, schedule, and lead lifeguards to maintain proper pool coverage and safety. Ensure the pool and surrounding areas are clean, organized, and ready for members. Check and adjust pool and whirlpool chemical levels as needed. Assist in leading staff training, evaluations, and aquatic readiness drills. Build relationships with members to connect them to YMCA aquatics programming. Model and enforce YMCA safety standards and pool rules while addressing concerns promptly. What We’re Looking For: Minimum Age: 17 At least 500 hours and two seasons of lifeguarding experience. Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor others. High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Strong interpersonal skills, sound judgment, and a passion for service. Experience with pool operations and testing pool chemicals; Certified Pool Operator certification preferred. Certifications Required: Before your first shift: New Hire Orientation and American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification. Within six months of hire: Certification in Adult Mental Health First Aid USA.
