AR Collections Specialist
About The Position
Williams Comfort Air is seeking a confident and driven Collections Specialist to join our team. In this role, your primary responsibility will be managing outbound phone calls, helping clients resolve outstanding balances while maintaining excellent customer service. You’ll handle outbound calls, follow-ups on failed payments, and proactively work with internal teams to resolve any issues preventing payment. This position is not strictly accounting-focused; we value assertive, customer-oriented communication and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Our ideal candidate is motivated, flexible, and excited to take on cross-training opportunities to grow with the company. We are looking for someone with collections experience.
Requirements
- Prior experience in collections or customer-focused outbound calling
- Strong communication skills with the ability to be assertive without being pushy
- Comfortable navigating client concerns and escalating issues to managers when necessary
- Motivated, proactive, and driven to take initiative
Nice To Haves
- Experience in our industry is a plus, but training will be provided
Responsibilities
- Make outbound calls to clients regarding overdue balances and/or failed payments
- Investigate service or field-related issues that may prevent clients from paying and coordinate with managers or other team members to resolve issues
- Leave clear and professional voicemails and follow up consistently
- Respond to other inquiries coming in via email, phone, voicemail
- Maintain accurate records of calls, notes, and account status in company systems
- Potential for cross-training in other areas of the Accounting department
