About The Position

Architectural intern will assist architects and senior architectural designers in the development of project design concepts and construction documents for a variety of project types and in multiple stages of design.

Requirements

• Minimum of some post-secondary education in an accredited Architectural Design program.
• Hands on experience with Autodesk Revit and Trimble Sketchup
• Proficient with Adobe design suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)
• Exposure to construction materials, methods, and project delivery
• Basic understanding of design phases (concept design, schematic design, design development, and construction documents).
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
• Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing
• Must be a self-starter, and be detail-oriented
• Possess a valid Driver’s License

Responsibilities

• Apply architectural design principles to projects in cooperation with a multi-disciplinary team across multiple office locations
• Manage BIM files (Revit) during the development of construction documents.
• Assist in the curating and marketing of design services and projects for proposals, social media, and other media outlets.
• Assist Project Managers with tasks during project bidding and construction administration phases such as: Request for Information (RFI) responses; Addenda and change order documentation; Documenting on site job conference meeting minutes and construction progress; other coordination efforts with consultants, contractors, and other project stake holders.
• Occasionally assist with other engineering disciplines as needed and as able (survey, civil engineering).
