Proficiency with Revit, Rhino and Adobe Creative Suite Excellent physical modeling skills: iterative working models, process models, and finish models Additional skills considered preferable are… Experience or additional degree in Fine Art, Graphic Design, Interior Design, Landscape Architecture, Preservation or related field Examples of excellent making or construction experience Experience in positions of leadership or public speaking Examples of work demonstrating an interest in sustainable design Proficiency with digital design, prototyping and fabrication At least one previous internship in an architectural firm Experience in academics: teaching, teaching assistant, researcher, etc. About the Internship Full-time paid position. Applicants will be expected to be able to contribute approximately 40 hours per week during regular business hours. More hours may be available upon request but would not be guaranteed or required. The position is offered as a 6-Month internship geared toward current students or recent graduates. What You’ll Do Collaborating with the entire project team to iteratively study and develop design concepts. Ensuring that a project’s design concept is reflected in all aspects of its development. Working in a highly collaborative manner potentially with subconsultants and other stakeholders. Taking ownership of the accuracy, completeness, and overall quality of the work that is produced. Potential for construction administration tasks including site observations and affiliated administrative tasks Assisting with firm wide initiatives Model building, Rendering, Diagramming in a project team environment Revit, Rhino, Adobe workflows in a project team environment. What We Offer This is a non-exempt position, compensated at the rate of $32.88 per hour. Paid Healthcare, Vision and Dental Insurance San Diego Paid Sick Leave required by California Law.
