We are seeking talented and motivated architectural design students with strong visual graphics and technical drawing skills to join Quinn Evans in our Washington DC office this summer. This is an internship position with opportunities for professional growth in a highly collaborative studio environment while assisting on all aspects of architectural design, from client presentations to construction administration. The successful candidate would be exposed to a wide range of project responsibilities. Tasks may include producing construction documents, assisting with construction site visits, and producing renderings and graphics for presentations. The responsibilities would vary over the course of the summer as we aim to expose our interns to a variety of tasks and project types in order to provide a rich internship experience.

Requirements

  • Current enrollment in a professional degree program in Architecture
  • Design portfolio demonstrating strong visual communication skills with knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, Affinity Suite, Sketchup, and other graphic visualization software
  • Experience preparing graphic drawings and presentations, including concept diagrams, rendered technical drawings, and related 2D and 3D graphics
  • Construction document experience working with Autodesk Revit and/or AutoCAD
  • Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills
  • Attention to detail, creative thinker, and well-organized
  • Collaborative problem-solving skills with a professional work ethic

Nice To Haves

  • Illustrative hand rendering is a plus
  • Interest in historic preservation and working with existing buildings is a plus
