About The Position

The Area Executive Operations Manager provides leadership, operational oversight, clinical direction, and regulatory compliance across assigned branches within a dedicated region. This role aligns closely with the responsibilities of an Executive Director while extending oversight at a regional level and serving as interim leadership for branches with vacant Executive Director positions. The position requires extensive travel (approximately 90%) and the ability to sit in branch locations as needed to ensure operational stability, compliance, and continuity of leadership. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in a related field from an accredited college or university. A master’s degree in nursing is preferred. EXPIERENCE: Minimum of three (3) years of experience in healthcare and/or hospice management. CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE: Clinical licensure preferred in states within assigned region Valid driver’s license with an insured and operational automobile in accordance with state and/or organization requirements ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES Provide leadership, direction, and oversight for assigned branches within the region, ensuring alignment with organizational policies, procedures, and strategic objectives Serve as interim Executive Director by traveling to and sitting in branch locations when there is an open or vacant ED position Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, including clinical, licensure, and documentation requirements Monitor operational, financial, and performance metrics and implement corrective action plans as needed Support hiring, onboarding, development, and performance management of branch leadership and staff Collaborate with corporate partners including HR, Clinical, Compliance, and Recruiting to support regional needs Travel up to 90% of the time within the assigned region and maintain flexibility to respond to urgent operational needs knowledge, skills, and abilities required Strong leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills Ability to quickly assess branch operations and implement effective solutions Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust across teams Ability to work independently, manage multiple locations, and adapt to changing environments High level of professionalism, accountability, and organizational skills Affinity Hospice is an equal opportunity employer.
