About The Position

At Makeready, we are searching for curious self-starters with a genuine interest in people. We are looking for a creative and results-driven Area Marketing Manager to lead marketing, programming, partnerships, and communications across Makeready’s Columbus portfolio, including The Junto and The Merchant Building. Skilled at implementing creative marketing practices with an eye on guest satisfaction, profitability, branding, and trends, this individual serves as a key connector between property leadership, agency partners, and internal marketing teams.

Requirements

3+ years of hospitality marketing experience
Strong writing, communication, and project management skills.
Proficiency in digital marketing, social media, and CRM platforms.
Ability to travel as needed.
Creative, collaborative, and detail-oriented mindset.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement property-level marketing strategies aligned with annual business plans and budgets.
Collaborate with F&B teams to create on-brand activations and seasonal campaigns.
Coordinate PR efforts, digital updates, email marketing, and advertising needs with agency and internal teams.
Lead local partnerships and community outreach initiatives.
Monitor campaign performance, competitor activity, and market trends.
Participate in strategy and marketing calls, providing actionable insights and follow-ups.
