About The Position

This role is responsible for ensuring safe, efficient production while preserving and advancing the exceptional craftsmanship and quality standards that define the Century brand. This leader will also play a key role in developing talent, improving processes, and integrating innovative technologies to strengthen our manufacturing capability for the future.

Requirements

Minimum of 5 years of progressive, proven, and verifiable leadership experience in manufacturing
Prior Casegoods manufacturing experience required
Demonstrated experience implementing Lean manufacturing, labor standards, and continuous improvement initiatives
Experience leveraging technology and process innovation to improve manufacturing performance
Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop leaders and large teams
Strong commitment to craftsmanship, quality, and employee development
Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Must be able to stand and bend throughout shift
Must be able to lift/carry up to 50 lbs.; 100 lbs. with assistance

Responsibilities

Lead all operations within the Finishing, Rub & Pack department, with full accountability for safety, quality, delivery, and productivity
Directly manage and develop supervisors to achieve departmental and plant objectives
Coach, mentor, and develop new and emerging talent in the craft of casegoods finishing, ensuring the transfer and preservation of Century’s craftsmanship standards
Drive Lean manufacturing principles, including waste reduction, workflow optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives
Establish, monitor, and improve labor standards, staffing efficiency, and production performance metrics
Identify and implement process improvements, innovative technologies, and modern manufacturing methods to enhance efficiency, consistency, and quality
Ensure finishing processes consistently meet Century’s high standards for craftsmanship, appearance, and customer satisfaction
Partner with Planning, Quality, Engineering, and Maintenance to ensure smooth production flow and on-time completion of schedules
Promote and enforce a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements
Build a culture of accountability, teamwork, engagement, and operational excellence
Communicate with customer service on issues in the field
Work with vendors on existing and new products
