About The Position

Active/Retired/Off-Duty ARMED Law Enforcement Officer All retired Police personnel are required to have a current New York State Security Guard License. Responsibilities: Respond to all incidents and conduct preliminary investigation. Prepare detailed Incident Reports. Act as the point of contact for the NYPD, FDNY, and other city agencies upon their arrival on site. Respond to all emergencies, fire alarms, criminal events, medical issues, and newsworthy incidents and provide direction while coordinating the responding emergency services response. Type and Length of Specific Experience Required 5 years of Law Enforcement experience is preferred Skills Required Ability to operate radio or telephone equipment and/or console monitors Ability to interact cordially and communicate with the public Effective oral and written communication skills Ability to assess and evaluate situations effectively Ability to identify critical issues quickly and accurately High attention to detail Other Must have access to reliable transportation. Must not use illegal drugs. Must be able to pass a drug test with negative results (except when undergoing documented medical treatment). Submit timesheets and reports as required Carry out responsibilities in accordance with our policies and applicable City & State laws. Maintain a professional attitude with all interactions with clients, employees, and security officers. Must prepare written statements and investigations in a clear and concise manner. Investigate incidents and/or customer complaints and compile data for accurate reporting. Act as a liaison. Ability to write effective and concise reports in neat, legible handwriting is required. Requirements
