Requirements

An armed guard card/license is required.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or volunteers while following site-specific, security-related procedures, policies, and post orders, including when appropriate emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random foot patrols of galleries, halls, offices, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance, fire, and/or operational concerns for reporting.
Monitor entrances, exits, and controlled areas; assist with visitor flow and access control by verifying credentials, directing guests, and documenting deliveries and contractor activity per site procedures.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; provide clear instructions to occupants and coordinate with site leadership and local first responders as directed.
Complete detailed patrol logs and incident reports; communicate observations and status updates to site representatives, Allied Universal supervision, and/or dispatch using required radio and reporting systems.
