As an armed patrol officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will conduct routine foot and/or vehicle patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to alarms, calls for service, and unusual activity. You will document observations, support access control, and provide calm, professional customer service to staff and visitors. Requirements

• Have at least 1+ years of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• Have at least 1+ years of security-related experience.
• Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
• Be at least 21+ years of age.
• Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by following site-specific security-related procedures, government facility policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor access points and perform security-related screening and/or credential verification as required by post orders, directing visitors and staff to appropriate locations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, requesting law enforcement and/or medical support when needed.
• Complete detailed written reports and activity logs, document incidents and enforcement actions, and communicate timely updates to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.
