As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with clear communication and strong customer service. Requirements

• Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff and visitors at a government location by carrying out post orders, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as directed by Allied Universal and the location.
• Carry and maintain authorized equipment as required for an armed post, follow applicable laws and training, and report any security-related concerns to the appropriate contacts.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or calls for assistance in a calm, problem-solving manner, and request additional support from law enforcement and/or emergency services when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeter routes to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
• Complete detailed reports and required documentation for security-related incidents, patrol activities, and/or unusual observations, and communicate updates to site leadership and Allied Universal management.
