Job Description As a Armed Security Officer - Patrol in Wilmington, NC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an armed patrol officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will make routine rounds, support access control and badge processes, and respond to security-related concerns with clear communication and customer service. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license under AU driver policy requirements. Requirements
- Have 3+ years combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience OR a college degree.
- Be 21+ years of age.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- An Armed Guard Card and/or license is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an industrial manufacturing location.
- Carry and maintain issued firearm and related equipment in accordance with Allied Universal policies, post orders, and applicable laws, including proper weapon handling, retention practices, and required documentation.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of production areas, warehouses, yards, loading docks, parking areas, and the perimeter to help identify suspicious activity, hazards, and/or policy violations; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
- Monitor access control points and security-related systems such as cameras and alarm panels, verify credentials as required, and document entries, deliveries, and/or contractor activity per site procedures.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, provide timely notifications to site leadership and/or emergency services, and complete detailed incident reports and shift logs.
