About The Position
Allied Universal is Currently Hiring a Full Time Armed Security Officer for a State Office in Pittsfield MA Monday - Thursday 8 AM - 6 PM Starting Pay is $25.88 Per Hour / Paid Orientation / Paid Training Candidate is Required to Have a Concealed Carry Permit and 1+ Years of Previous Security/Law Experience As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol in Pittsfield, MA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with clear communication and professionalism. You will complete routine patrols, document activity, and provide customer service to employees and visitors. At Allied Universal, you will act with agility, reliability, and integrity while meeting a Concealed Carry Weapons Permit requirement.
Requirements
- Possess a concealed carry weapons permit.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors and staff while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government transportation location.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify hazards or unusual conditions.
- Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with local law enforcement and/or emergency services as needed.
- Control access at designated entry points by verifying identification, managing visitor logs, and directing vehicles and/or pedestrians in accordance with site procedures.
- Carry, handle, and store issued firearm and related equipment in accordance with all licensing requirements, Allied Universal policies, and post orders, and complete required reports and documentation.
