About The Position

As a Security Officer - Vehicle Patrol in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will respond to calls for service, document observations, and communicate clearly with tenants, visitors, and onsite teams. Requirements

  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • This is primarily a driving post.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial property.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of interior common areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance and/or hazard concerns.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity as assigned, assist with badge and/or key control procedures where applicable, and report suspicious behavior and/or policy violations.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and tenant concerns in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with property management and emergency services when needed.
  • Document patrol activity, incidents, and observations in written reports and/or electronic systems, and communicate relevant updates during shift briefings and post handoffs.
