As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to situations with calm, professional communication. This is an armed post requiring an armed guard card or license. Requirements

• Have 1+ years of armed security, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton is preferred.
• Possess a guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, riders, and visitors by following site-specific procedures, access requirements, and applicable emergency response activities at a government transportation location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facilities, platforms, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor CCTV and/or alarm systems when assigned, document observations, and communicate concerns via radio, phone, and written reports.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation, coordination with Allied Universal supervision, and notification to local law enforcement when appropriate.
• Control access points and verify credentials when assigned, screen for prohibited items per site policy, and maintain accurate security-related logs and incident documentation.
