Job Description As a Security Officer - Armed Route Patrol Driver in Houston, TX , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a busy retail location, you will conduct routine patrols and visible presence checks, help to deter security-related incidents, and support access control and customer interactions with clear communication. This post requires a valid driver’s license under AU Driver Policy Requirements and Level III Armed Certification. Requirements

• Be 21+ years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Have Level III Armed Certification for Texas only.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to guests and store associates by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail sales floor, exterior perimeter, parking areas, and receiving areas to help to deter security-related incidents.
• Monitor access points and observe activity for unusual behavior, policy violations, and/or potential hazards, reporting concerns to site leadership as required.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disputes, alarms, medical calls, and/or suspected theft, and request law enforcement and/or EMS when needed.
• Complete detailed reports on observations, patrols, and incidents, and support investigations by preserving information and cooperating with management and responding agencies.
