About The Position

Vaxcom Services, Inc (a Parsons company) is looking for an amazingly talented Armed Security Officer (NC) to join our team! A Secret is required .

Requirements

• Active or current SECRET level security clearance
• Must be able to successfully complete the follow training and certifications:
• Must be able to pass an annual physical fitness evaluation test consisting of a 1.5 mile run, push-ups, and sit-ups.
• Must be able to meet minimum qualification standards for NC PPSB certifications with the Glock-17 pistol, Remington 870 shotgun, and M-4 carbine rifle.
• Must be able to successfully complete First Aid and CPR training.
• Must be able to successfully complete FEMA courses: 100, 200, 700, and 800.
• Must possess a high school diploma.
• Must possess experience working at a classified facility.
• Must possess experience in providing customer service.

Nice To Haves

• Two years experience in law enforcement, department of corrections, security, or the U.S. Armed Forces.
• A college or university program certificate or two/four year degree.
• Previous experience providing armed security at a classified facility.
• Current TS/SCI with polygraph Security Clearance

Responsibilities

• Control access to facility by monitoring surveillance equipment, inspecting vehicles, and ensuring all personnel entering the base have the proper identification.
• Responds to situations on base using the appropriate escalation of force level up to and including armed response by following established Use of Force Policy.
• Responds to incidents of fire, medical emergency, bomb threat, elevator emergency, hazardous materials, inclement weather, and other incidents that may occur during day or night.
• Observe and report incidents or suspicious activity.
• Maintains proficiency and safety in the use of all assigned equipment, control devices, and weapon systems.
• Attend 40 hours of In-Service Training annually.
