As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Driver in Corpus Christi, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with calm, professional communication. This post requires a valid driver’s license under AU driver policy requirements and Level III Armed Certification. Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Level III Armed Certification is required for Texas only.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

• Handcuffing Certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to location staff and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Carry and maintain assigned issued equipment as required for an armed post, following post orders, training requirements, and applicable laws and/or regulations.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting emergency services as needed and completing required reports.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of government buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity. Working environments and conditions may vary by location.
• Monitor access points and conduct security-related screening and/or identification checks as directed by post orders, assisting with visitor guidance and controlled entry.
