As an Allied Universal Security Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will conduct routine patrols and remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents while assisting tenants and visitors with a customer-first approach. You will report concerns, communicate clearly with site contacts, and use teamwork to support daily operations with integrity. This is an armed post requiring an armed guard card and/or license.

Requirements

• An armed guard card and/or license is required.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and vendors by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial property location.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of common areas, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unwanted activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with property management and contacting local emergency services when needed.
• Monitor access points and observe pedestrian and vehicle traffic for unusual activity, reporting concerns per post orders and documenting actions taken.
• Complete daily activity reports and incident reports, maintain awareness of site rules, and support property operations with directions, information, and conflict de-escalation when appropriate.
