About The Position

The Arms, Ammunition and Explosives Manager is responsible as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in AA&E to maintain currency with all safety, management, storage and accountability procedures in support of EODTEU ONE forces. The incumbent serves as the resident technical authority for AA&E requirements and is expected to resolve complex problems independently and to manage workload in a manner that provides responsive service to all customers.

Requirements

  • Possess Ammunition Supply Administration NEC (814A)
  • 3 years’ experience as an Ordnance Information System (OIS) Administrator

Responsibilities

  • Provide subject matter expertise in requirements and accountability of facilities requisition, transportation, storage, augmentation, phase replacement, tracking and re-allocation of AA&E throughout the force.
  • Ensure the supply and distribution of adequate quantities of arms, ammunition and explosives (AA&E) to meet operations and training requirements.
  • Serve as Inspection Indicator Manager (IIM) responsible for management of the Inspector Indicators to include issuing, storing, and maintaining records.
  • Recommend material solutions to AA&E shortfalls.
  • Provide expert advice to the supported unit on all aspects of AA&E Operations.
  • Provide mandatory inventory and inspection reports to Commander, EODGRU ONE.
  • Conduct oversight, review and analysis of storage plans, capacities, ordnance infrastructure assets and capabilities for EODTEU ONE.
  • Review, revise and develop new ordnance logistic management metrics.
  • Administer AA&E using validated and required computer-based inventory software (e.g. OIS).
  • Submit required AA&E and Weapons and Controlled Equipment inventories to COMEODGRU ONE, NECC/NECCPAC, and NSWC Crane.
  • Review and approve emergent quota requests for EODTEU ONE and subordinate commands.
  • Maintain a current list of Naval Ammunition Reclassification reports (NARS) and other correspondence referring to ammunition safety.
  • Retain AA&E inventories of EODTEU ONE assets for 10 years.
  • Assist EODTEU ONE personnel in programs directly related to AA&E oversight, management and safe handling requirements.
  • Assist EODTEU ONE personnel in MPPEH requirements and procedures
  • Assist EODTEU ONE in the requirements for shipment of AA&E.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
