About The Position

The Artificial Intelligence Security Analyst applies expanded knowledge of AI security testing, vulnerability assessment, and compliance validation to ensure AI systems meet organizational standards for safety and regulatory requirements. This role works independently with moderate supervision, handling moderately complex security challenges in AI systems. The incumbent may coach junior staff on security testing processes and contributes to continuous improvement of AI security frameworks.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (A comparable combination of work experience and training may be substituted for education requirements.)
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in cybersecurity or security testing
  • Minimum 2 years of experience with AI/ML systems, security, or vulnerability assessment
  • Experience with security testing tools and methodologies
  • Proficiency in security testing tools and penetration testing frameworks
  • Knowledge of AI/ML concepts, LLMs, and conversational AI architectures
  • Understanding of OWASP Top 10 for LLM applications and AI-specific threat vectors
  • Familiarity with compliance frameworks relevant to financial services
  • Ability to prioritize tasks by effectively managing competing and changing priorities to meet deadlines
  • Accurate, detail-oriented, and organized with task management
  • Ability to analyze and resolve difficult and often complex problems or situations
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills to interact effectively with members, staff, vendors, and government regulators
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of credit union products, services, policies, and procedures
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of regulatory compliance
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of credit union computer systems and software applications required to perform job duties

Responsibilities

  • Conduct security testing of AI systems, including prompt injection defense, jailbreak attempts, and data leakage prevention
  • Perform vulnerability assessments on LLM-based applications and conversational AI systems
  • Test AI models for adversarial attacks, model poisoning, and backdoor vulnerabilities
  • Validate AI system access controls, authentication mechanisms, and authorization frameworks
  • Document security findings and coordinate with development teams on remediation measures
  • Assess AI systems against security frameworks and compliance requirements (NCUA, financial services regulations)
  • Support AI governance activities, including policy documentation and security control validation
  • Maintain security testing documentation, including test cases, results, and audit evidence
  • Generate compliance reports on AI security posture and remediation status
  • Participate in security audits by providing documentation and evidence of AI controls
  • Monitor AI systems for security anomalies, suspicious patterns, and potential breaches
  • Respond to AI security incidents, performing initial triage and escalation
  • Track and document security metrics, including vulnerability counts and remediation timelines
  • Stay current on emerging AI security threats and recommended defensive measures
  • Guide junior team members on security testing tools and methodologies
  • Participate in knowledge sharing and cross-training activities
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of security testing processes
  • Apply growing expertise in AI security testing, vulnerability assessment, and compliance frameworks
  • Maintain knowledge and understanding of current trends, laws, and issues affecting the area of expertise
  • Attend educational events to increase professional knowledge
  • Complete annual compliance and info security training to understand employees' role in maintaining effective compliance and security programs
