About The Position

What You’ll Be Doing Coordinate and schedule surgical procedures in the ASC in collaboration with physicians, nursing staff, and anesthesia providers Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, clinical teams, and external partners regarding procedure details, arrival times, and pre-operative requirements Verify and confirm surgery schedules, physician availability, and required resources Obtain, review, and document necessary surgical paperwork, including consents, authorizations, and pre-operative documentation Communicate patient financial responsibilities as applicable and assist with collection of out-of-pocket expenses in accordance with policy Answer telephone calls and relay messages accurately and efficiently Maintain accurate scheduling records within the electronic medical record (EMR) system Scan and index documents into the EMR and assist with chart audits for third-party reviewers as needed Retrieve operative and dictation notes for physician review and completion Support coordination of reception and administrative duties as necessary to ensure smooth daily operations Assist with ordering and maintaining clerical supplies Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment Adhere to safety, confidentiality, and environment-of-care policies and procedures Report observed or suspected safety concerns, hazards, or policy noncompliance to appropriate leadership Participate in quality improvement activities, committees, or meetings as assigned Perform end-of-day administrative duties as required Other duties as assigned What We Expect From You Education High School Diploma or GED required Experience Minimum of two (2) years of clerical or administrative experience Medical office or surgical scheduling experience preferred Reasoning Ability Ability to solve practical problems and manage multiple variables in situations with limited standardization Ability to interpret and follow written, oral, diagrammatic, or schedule-based instructions Computer Skills Proficient in computer systems and electronic medical records (EMR) Ability to learn and navigate scheduling, billing, and documentation systems Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this role. Requirements
