About The Position

Brown County Construction Company is seeking reliable, hardworking Asphalt Laborers to support our paving and milling operations. This role is ideal for individuals with hands-on asphalt experience who take pride in quality work, value teamwork, and want to build a long-term career with a stable, reputable construction company. Experience working with GPS-controlled equipment is a plus but not required.

Requirements

• Prior experience in asphalt paving and/or milling construction
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and paving-related equipment
• Strong work ethic, dependability, and willingness to learn
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to perform strenuous physical labor for extended periods
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions and terrain
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and equipment as required
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and occasional holidays

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with GPS-guided or grade control systems (preferred, not required)

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of physical tasks to support asphalt paving and milling operations
• Assist with placing, spreading, raking, and smoothing hot and cold asphalt mix
• Patch potholes, trenches, and surface defects to ensure a smooth, durable finish
• Support milling operations, including cleanup and material handling
• Assist with installation of pipes, drains, and other roadway infrastructure as needed
• Set up and maintain traffic control devices to ensure job site safety
• Perform basic equipment service and routine maintenance
• Work closely with crew members to maintain productivity, quality, and safety standards
• Follow all company safety policies and job site procedures
