ON TRACK WITH BLACK DESCRIPTION: The Asphalt and Paving Supervisor position is responsible for supervising the paving crew and managing the day-to-day operations, but not limited to communication with truck drivers; handling the aspects related to plant personnel and customers; scheduling and necessary maintenance.

Requirements

  • Must have at least 5 years of verifiable experience as an Asphalt Paving Superintendent or Supervisor.
  • Proven track record of managing paving projects
  • At least 2 years of experience in the construction of HMA Pavement Runways, Taxiways, Apron or Aircraft Parking
  • Knowledgeable in trouble shooting of HMA Paving Problems such Segregation, Density and Smoothness Issues.
  • Knowledge of asphalt paving techniques and equipment
  • Attentive to detail and knowledgeable in FAA and/or US Air Force Asphalt Paving Quality, Specifications and Job Mix Formula.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines
  • Physical stamina and ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Certifications in construction safety and project management
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
  • Knowledge of local, state, and federal construction regulations
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. and its Territories
  • Must be able to work on U.S. Military Project(s) based in Northern Mariana Island / Tinian

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in FAA and/or US Military Projects is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of asphalt paving projects
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations
  • Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders
  • Develop project plans and schedules
  • Monitor the quality of materials and workmanship
  • Supervise paving crews and provide guidance and training
  • Inspect completed work to ensure it meets specifications
  • Manage project budgets and control costs
  • Handle any issues or emergencies that arise during the project
  • Prepare reports and documentation for project progress
