About The Position

Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is currently seeking a Team Lead Assembler (Level C) to join the 737 Max Inlet Production team to support Propulsion South Carolina in North Charleston, South Carolina. The Team Lead will be responsible for, but are not limited to, performing tasks in the following areas; pre-shift planning, crew meetings, team status updates, labor loss, production control, training, process improvement and Lean/BPS. Primary Responsibilities: Performs complex production assembly operations on structural parts, mechanical assemblies, sub-assemblies and equipment and accessories using manual or automated assembly tools. Models a culture of One Team, Pride and Ownership. Teams with Integrated Build Teams (IBTs) and First Line Leader to mitigate performance risk utilizing Systematic Problem Solving (SPS) methodologies. Facilitates communication between shifts, teams and other organizations. Identifies KPI and BPS improvement actions. Builds effective resource plans, monitors progress to plans, resolve roadblocks and escalates issues which cannot be resolved by the team. Establishes overtime requirements and staffing. Responsible for monitoring and controlling Lean Manufacturing Systems (LMS) and 5S activities. Supports teammates to improve their job performance by providing on the job training and coaching. This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options. This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of Aerospace, Fabrication, or Manufacturing experience.
  • 1+ years of 737 Program experience.
  • 1+ years of experience in a team environment.
  • This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required.
  • “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience utilizing and following detailed work instructions, reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, or specifications
  • Experience meeting quality and safety requirements or resolve technical or operational problems
  • Experience with the ability predict, identify and resolve problems; the ability to gather and analyze information; and, a thorough knowledge of applicable company policies and government regulations.
  • Experience navigating Microsoft Office Suite, VMS, CMES, TMC.
