About The Position

Collins Aerospace is looking to fill several Assembler Positions for the Riverside, CA facility. You will be required to perform a variety of tasks which include but are not limited to fabrication, processing, lay-up, assembling, mating, and bonding of complex honeycomb, adhesive bonded, thermoplastics, and/or composite sub-assemblies/assemblies & surface treatment and cleaning of metal by various chemical processes. What You Will Do: You will be working onsite at our Riverside, CA facility. You will be working 2nd shift hours (3pm-11:30pm M-F) You will be part of the IAM Local 964 union.

Requirements

  • Typically, a HS Diploma or GED is required.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble, fabricate, and install honeycomb, adhesive bonded, and composite assemblies following blueprints and engineering orders.
  • Layup composite materials, apply parting agents, perform bagging and vacuum blanketing, and prepare components for cleaning, masking, and coating.
  • Operate drying ovens, mix sealants and adhesives, to create aircraft components.
  • Manage material storages and replenish empty spaces.
  • Utilize specialized machine attachments, overhead cranes, and computer-based data systems.
  • Ensure accurate documentation, possibly participate in voluntary Kaizen events, and maintain good shop practices.
  • Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area.
