About The Position

The Assembler will be responsible for assemble, laps seats, sets and test product per manufacturer standards, completes test reports, seals and tags valves. THIS IS A 2ND SHIFT - 2pm - 10pm, M-F, overtime as needed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1-3 months work experience in a production environment. Previous experience in a production position at CDC is preferred.
  • Ability to read blueprints
  • Basic math and reading skills
  • Computer skills
  • Working knowledge of industrial equipment used to produce rupture discs
  • Willingness and ability to follow all manufacturing procedures and company policies
  • Attention to detail
  • Concern for quality, accuracy and safety
  • Ability to stay on task and manage time efficiently to meet deadlines
  • Positive attitude and ability to work well with others, including peers, supervisors, executive management and outside vendors, representatives and visitors when called upon
  • Motor skills sufficient to successfully and safely use required tools and machinery
  • Ability to stand and/or walk for majority of scheduled shift, typically 8-10 hours per day, though possibly more when overtime is required
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment, including safety glasses and safety shoes

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in a production position at CDC is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Trim Teflon
  • Clean rupture disc and holder parts
  • Cut outside diameters of rupture discs
  • Spot weld components
  • Operate presses and other required equipment
  • Use co-bots and other automated and robotic equipment
  • Proof pressure and leak tests
  • Inspect completed rupture disc assemblies to verify that they conform to specifications
  • Assemble units and prepare them for shipping
  • Perform any listed essential functions in a high-volume repetitive manner when required
  • Utilize and supervise the performance of automated machines
  • Assist in troubleshooting and diagnosing machine performance issues
  • Comply with company productivity and quality requirements
  • Operate forklift when and as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned, based on workload and business need
