The Assembler will be responsible for assemble, laps seats, sets and test product per manufacturer standards, completes test reports, seals and tags valves. THIS IS A FIRST SHIFT - 6am-2pm, M-F, overtime as needed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of two (2) years experience as a valve assembler in similar industry.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Mechanical aptitude.
  • Problem solving and formulations.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Safety Relief Valve Knowledge.
  • Reading and proofreading.
  • Reasoning and analyzing.
  • Knowledgeable in operating testing equipment, lapping equipment and forklift.
  • Experience working in Lean manufacturing environments.
  • Willingness and ability to follow all manufacturing procedures and company policies.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Concern for quality, accuracy and safety.
  • Ability to stay on task and manage time efficiently to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work well with others, including subordinates, peers, executive management and outside vendors, representatives and visitors.
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment, including safety glasses and safety shoes.
  • Regularly required to sit or stand, bend and reach.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Confirm that correct material is pulled for order.
  • Assemble product, lap seating surfaces, assemble valve with spring. (mold diaphragms and cut gaskets).
  • Test product per manufacturer standards.
  • Complete test reports, seal and tag product and take to shipping area when paperwork is completed.
  • Assist shipping department as needed.
  • Attend and participate in quality team meetings, safety meetings and other training.
  • Perform other duties as assigned based on work load and business need.
