About The Position

Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for an Assembly Advisement Workplace Coach (Level 4) to support the Skin and Spar Team in Auburn or Puyallup, Washington. This position is for 1st or 2nd shift , and the shift will be determined after the interview. In this role, you will partner with our fabrication teams to ensure individuals are properly trained and follow procedures according to Boeing standards. Successful candidates will possess the ability to comprehend and interpret Boeing drawings and specifications related to forming. They should be capable of coaching and mentoring employees. Candidates should view themselves as subject matter experts in tasks associated with Forming.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Aerospace, Forming, and Fabrication
• 5+ years of experience with shot peen
• 3+ years of experience using LEAN Manufacturing and/or Continuous Improvement practices and tools in the workplace
• 3+ years of experience mentoring, coaching, guiding, and leading teams
• 3+ years of experience utilizing and following detailed work instructions, reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, or specifications

Nice To Haves

• 10+ years of experience in Aerospace, Forming and Fabrication
• 10+ years experience with shot peen
• 5+ years experience with the Boeing Production System
• 5+ years experience with Fabrication Painting

Responsibilities

• Leads complex group work sessions selecting and using advanced Lean principles, processes and tools to implement the Boeing Production System for internal or external customers
• Conducts assessments of processes and practices for comparison to applicable standards and criteria
• Analyzes and interprets data
• Provides feedback on assessment results and identifies opportunities for improvement and potential areas of risk
• Works with organizations to develop strategies, plans and metrics to achieve business objectives
• Works at the appropriate level in the organization to implement strategies and plans
• Works under minimal direction
