Join our team as an Assembler II and help bring ODL’s high-quality door and insulated glass products to life. In this role, you’ll work alongside a collaborative production team to assemble components and ensure every product meets the standards our customers rely on. Clips, screws, or otherwise fastens parts together using hands or tools such as glue, solder irons and screw guns. Assembles insulating units for customer orders. Maintains and safely operates sealant machine(s) to meet product quality specifications. Maintains and safely operates spacer and GBG cutting equipment. Works at different workstations as production schedules dictate operational needs. Works on a line where tasks vary as different model of same article moves along line. What Sets You Up for Success: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence/postings, labels and production schedules. Ability to write simple sentences and complete forms/requests for information. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple multi-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables. Examples would include judging quality defects, how to set up work and determining the cause of a problem. Actions and results are closely prescribed by work instructions/structure of work. Little or no opportunity to make independent decisions. Most/all actions regularly checked by others. Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of weight, measurement, quantity, volume, and distance. Examples would include reading a tape measure, tracking production and scrap, counting parts in a box. The employee is required to stand for long periods of time, repeatedly bend and reach, and use hands to manipulate tools and parts. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
